Limited quantity of standard size colorful eggs available from our flock of 15 mixed hens (Americauna aka 'Easter Eggers', Black Australorpe, Blue Andalusian & others).

A dozen contains a mix of shades of green, brown and cream.

$12/dozen, or $6/half-dozen, cash only.

We have a very limited number of eggs available for order and pickup.

Please note that we mainly have eggs available during February-August when the hens lay the most eggs due to longest day length/most sunlight.

A box of lovely local, colorful eggs makes a delightful and pretty unique holiday, birthday or hostess gift! :)

We also have a *very* limited quantity smaller, cream-colored Bantam eggs ($9/dozen) from our wonderful mixed bantams aka small breed chickens (see second photo). These are the eggs in the center orange bowl and bottom carton in the first photo, and the second photo.

For cooking and comparison, 2 Bantam eggs equal roughly one regular large egg. These unique eggs can't be found in a store and kids especially love them! And they make charming, dainty deviled eggs:)

These are some of the healthiest/most nutritious local eggs you're likely to find!

The background & details:

We have raised a small flock of 20 or less chickens on our 3-generation family farm continuously for over 40 years. They forage outside on a wide variety of green weeds and bugs (did you know chickens favorite food is greens and insects?) and we provide them with only the highest quality Certified-Organic SOY-FREE grains available, from New Country Organics https://www.newcountryorganics.com/layer-feed-50-pounds.html. We soak and ferment the grains daily, which makes more nutrients available for digestion and gives the hens optimal nutrition from the grains (and thereby optimal nutrient density of the eggs!) They also *love* to have their favorite superfood treat daily, Grubblies black soldier fly larvae https://grubblyfarms.com/products/grubblies.

Please see the third photograph which shows 2 of our eggs on the left with deep orange yolks and a store-bought egg on the right, which has a less bright yolk.

The hens enjoy lots of seasonal weeds, veg, fruits and berries from the organic gardens on our family farm. Our hens are pets and we always let them live out their natural long lives instead of butchering them after +/- 3 years as is customary in egg production (almost all farms do this).

Also, rather than getting our chicks shipped from a hatchery and then raising them under a heat lamp (as is commonly done as a substitute for their mother) we let some of our hens sit on fertile eggs and raise their chicks, who we feed highest quality Certified-Organic Soy-Free chick starter from the get-go.
