This is not a mix of wood but pure Black Locust from our land for the 2024/2025 season.  Black Locust is among the hottest burning wood at 26.8 million btu/cord, higher than Oak.  Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) is considered invasive in the Northeast and in other areas outside of its native range in the southeastern United States due to its rapid growth and willingness to spread by seed and root suckering.

Our firewood has been fully cured and has a moisture content of about 6%. Available for free local delivery in a full or half cord.  Most pieces are between 16-18 inches long and there may be a few that are a bit shorter or up to 20 inches long.

A face cord stacked measures 16in x 4ft x 8ft or 42.7 cu. ft. and weighs approximately 1,297 lbs and is roughly 1/3 of a full cord.

A half cord stacked measures 2ft x 4ft x 8ft  or 64 cu. ft. and weighs approximately 1,945 lbs.

A full cord stacked measures 4ft x 4ft x 8ft  or 128 cu. ft. and weighs approximately 3,890 lbs.

Free delivery is within 6 miles of Kitchawan Farm and farther distances can be quoted.  Firewood will be dumped in a pile at your location at a spot of choosing close to your driveway.   You can buy now to reserve your firewood, and deliveries will be scheduled for late October and November.

Stacking may be available but is quoted separately and depends on how far it is from the driveway etc.  Stacking minumum prices are $50/half cord and $100 full cord.

A tremendous amount of work goes into firewood; the logs must be cut, split, stacked and let dry for months to cure.   The wood must then be loaded onto the truck and driven to your location.

If it shows out of stock, no wood is currently available.
