We have a variety of organically-grown winter squash and small cooking pumpkins that we harvested ahead of the first frost in mid-October.
Winter squash and Sugar Pie pumpkins cannot be ordered ahead of time because you need to pick out the one(s) you like and we'll weigh them, so please email us at goods@kitchawanfarm.com or text (914) 602-6011 to set up a time to come by!
Our winter squash is priced the same as Whole Foods current pricing ($1.99) with the exception of Delicata which is a little more since it weighs so little--- while being grown right here on a small scale with care and organic, regenerative growing practices.
:: Winter Squash:
~Heirloom 'Georgia Candy Roaster', $2.00/lb. This hard to find, fantastic variety looks like a giant pink banana and lasts for 6+ months... we kept one just on the kitchen floor last year to see how long it would go for and in May it was still was hard as a rock with no blemishes and we finally cooked it! 2025 was our third year growing this marvelous variety, after friends gave us one and we saved the seed... it's since become our favorite squash and we'll be growing it forevermore! And we have passed seeds on to friends and family who also rave about it... and you can do the same:-)
